PP58/3 Dining Chair, 1988

PP 58/3 dining chair by Hans Wegner for PP Mobler.

At 73 years old, Hans J Wegner designed pp58/68, his final basic chair. Comfortable, practical, strong and durable, Wegner was determined to let this particular design be guided by the total learnings of his previous works. A simple conclusion to an incredible life’s work. 

The three-legged version of the chair is called the pp58/3. Simpler in shape and stackable, it has the same basic principles as the pp58. Even though the chair only has three legs, it is remarkably stable, and the triangular rail structure under the seat allows the simplest possible construction of the chair. A beautiful and elegant chair for the dining table, like the pp58 it is the result of Wegner’s experience.
